 YOUNG URBAN ENTREPRENEURS

YUE teaches entrepreneurship using its exciting, experiential curriculum supported by the Network  For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Our in school and summer program focuses on middle school and High School students.

The in-school curriculum is taught as a semester-long course during the year and on a year round basis for our after-school programs.  Our Summer Camp is an intensive 8 week camp held in collaboration with the DC Department of Small and Local Business and DC Office of Employment Services Youth Program.

In our program students learn business concepts, practice skills including negotiation and pricing, and work on completion of business plans for their own individual businesses.

In class business plan competitions are held with the help from NFTE and local businesses as partners.  Students enrolled are also afforded the opportunity of participating in regional and national business plan competitions each school year.

ENTREPRENEUR'S CLUB (E-Club)

A youth incubator created to help those students interested in taking their business concept steps further.  Students are guided through the more advanced components of developing their business ideas into fully operable business structures. Come in and meet our e-club members and get the latest information on their businesses.
